When is My Baseball Player Scheduled for an Assessment?
This time of year parents often ask when their player is scheduled for their skills assessment.  Therefore, MPTLL is providing the MPTLL Assessment Report to help parents remember when their player is scheduled for their skill assessment.  Parents that need to change their players assessment time should follow these steps:
  1. Login to your account on the MPTLL website.
  2. Click “My Account” at the top right once you are logged in.
  3. Find “2019 Spring T-Ball / Coach Pitch / BASEBALL” under your players name.  Click on “2019 Spring T-Ball / Coach Pitch / BASEBALL”.
  4. Scroll down midway until you see the assessment option times.  Select the option that works best for your schedule.
  5. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
Please DO NOT email to modify a players assessment time.  If you do we will respond with these exact instructions.

A few reminders about the upcoming assessments:
  • By rule, Little League players age 10-12 years old not already on a major league team must participate in a skills assessment to be considered for a major league team.  If a player does not participate in a skills assessment then they will not be eligible for the major league draft.
  • T-Ball players do not have skills assessments.  The T-Ball coordinator will assign those players to teams based on parent requests made during registration.  T-Ball parents should hear from their coaches the first week of March.
  • Coach pitch players will have a skills assessment on Saturday, March 2nd.

3/9 - Carolina Bats Demo Day

Carolina Bats will be at the Myers Park Trinity fields on Saturday, March 9th to let your baseball and softball player demo bats from Marucci, Axe, and Mizuno.  Their representatives will be onsite to answer parent questions and help you make the right decision so you know your child is hitting with the right bat.  To try one of their bats stop by the batting cage next to the upper parking lot anytime between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 9th.  One reminder, if you purchase a bat for your player to use at MPTLL make sure it has the USABat decal.  Parents can learn more about Carolina Bats here.

Free Baseball Clinics - February 17th

MPTLL will be holding two (2) clinics on Sunday, February 17th at 3:00 p.m.  One clinic will focus on pitching and the second will focus on defensive fundamentals.  The goal is to help your child shake off the rust and get ready for a great spring season.  The clinics are free but we are asking for donations of school supplies for Cotswold Elementary, one of our “neighbors” for many years. Reservations aren’t required, but parents are asked to email Rich Fennell at so we can staff it accordingly.
